On Sunday, the company Zuya unveiled a 15-metre cake at Zurich’s main train station, described by the company as the world’s biggest space cake.

The company said more than 2,000 people turned out to see and eat their cake. According to 20 minuten, there were only 1,850 slices, so some might have missed out on a piece.

A traditional “space cake” is one containing intoxicating cannabis. This one however was made with low-THC cannabis, so it would not have been particularly spacey.

The main ingredient in this type of cannabis, which contains less than 1% THC, is CBD or cannabidiol. According to Wikipedia, CBD does not appear to have any of the intoxicating effects caused by THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).

The cake recipe included 160 eggs, 40 kg of sugar, 40 kg of milk, 32 kg flour, 8 kg of chocolate, 6 kg of butter and 1 kg of CBD cannabis, which the company claims had a 0.2% THC content.
